It went rather quickly considering I had put it off for over three years.ДЄfter painting these riders, I dusted off my Rohan army to patch them up a bit and give them all good coat of matte varnish.

Fortunately I had a spare and quickly replaced it.ДЄnd here are a few more warriors - I started two of the normal riders and the banner bearer back in 2015 so that I only had to finish up the eyes and the highlights. I really like the two sculpts - the only complaint I have is that Г‰omer does not have his sword GГєthwinГ« with the signature curved horseheads as the crossguard. Since the Г‰omer, Knight of the Pelennor miniature is rather similar, I painted them in tandem. With the new rules ThГ©oden seems to be a must-take in any Rohan army so that I had to paint this mounted version of the King of Rohan.

He rides at the front of his host, followed by Г‰omer, though he cannot be overtaken. Lore Arise, arise, Riders of ThГ©oden! Fell deeds awake: fire and slaughter! Spear shall be shaken! Shield shall be splintered! A sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now! Ride now! Ride to Gondor! With these words, ThГ©oden leads the Riders of Rohan into battle. The groups of fighters cannot be interacted with, but many Orcs have broken free of the ranks and can be fought.ДЇield of Onslaught is the 1st stage of the Battle of Pelennor Fields and contains one World Instances found in the Instance Finder panel and two quest instances: A Quartermaster (Pelennor Battle Rewards Vendor) stands a little farther ahead. There is a group of standard vendors and a Forge and Relic-master at the rear of the Rohirrim ranks.
